Erik FarrellQAR Assistant Conservator

Erik was born and raised in North Carolina, and has returned from Denmark to join the QAR team. Prior to graduating from UNC Greensboro in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in archaeology and anthropology, Erik worked making reproductions of historic ceramics which have been used by institutions including Colonial Williamsburg and Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia.

He has worked in material-cultural analysis of various 18th century artifact assemblages in North Carolina, as well as undertaking CRM fieldwork in NC and academic field work at Mochlos and Argilos in Greece. In 2014, Erik was awarded a Masters degree in Conservation of Archaeological and Museum Objects from Durham University in England, and worked as a conservator with Øhavsmuseet: Bevaringscenter Fyn in Denmark prior to joining the QAR team.
