From Wilson, North Carolina, Daniel first joined the lab team as a graduate assistant. He earned his MA in Anthropology from ECU in 2022, undertaking an intensive internship at the QAR Lab and writing a report on his experiences to satisfy the MA requirement. His special project for the internship was the conservation of metal artifacts from Brunswick Town. He also holds a BA in Anthropology from NC State and through that program, assisted with fieldwork at the Middle Bronze Age site of Makounta-Voules on the island of Cyprus. He most recently participated in an excavation at Bath, NC led by ECU Anthropology.
