Devon BorgardtArchaeological Technician (NCDOT)

Originally from Virginia, Devon received her BA in history from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware. As a student, she volunteered with Delaware’s state archaeologist and assisted with the curation of state collections. After graduating in 2012, she attended Jamestown Rediscovery’s archaeological field school. She then lived overseas in Germany where her archaeological experience took her to two additional field schools in Scotland that focused on the Jacobite Rebellion.

Devon began volunteering at the OSA Research Center and joined OSA staff in 2017 as an Archaeological Technician. Her responsibilities include assisting the NC Department of Transportation with their compliance review projects and digitizing and auditing OSA documentation. She is currently working on her MA in anthropology with a concentration in archaeology at NC State University.
