Linda HallAssistant State Archaeologist

Located in Asheville, Linda Hall is OSA's Assistant State Archaeologist for the western region. As such, her responsibilities are myriad, including project review and technical assistance for the 23-mountain counties, coordination with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and other tribes, maintenance the regional library, and curation and analysis of collections housed in Asheville. Linda initially joined OSA in 1975 and held various positions within the office until 1980. She spent 20 years in the private contracting world before rejoining OSA in 2000, as Assistant State Archaeologist.
