Tim Smith Lake Phelps Canoe Conservator Tim is originally from Indianapolis, IN and received his BA in archaeology and art history from the University of Evansville in 2016. He is currently working to finish his MA in maritime studies at East Carolina University. As a student, Tim has worked on terrestrial sites in Indiana and Israel, and underwater sites in Bermuda and North Carolina. He worked as a graduate assistant for the Queen Anne’s Revenge Conservation Lab (QAR Lab) for two years. Following the assistantship, Tim was hired as a QAR assistant conservator for another year.
