Student Symposium Form

The OSA invites undergraduate and graduate students from across the state to present their archaeological research during our student symposium. Recent graduates and students from outside the state are invited to present as well. The symposium will take place in the Longleaf Pine classroom at the North Carolina Museum of History in downtown Raleigh on March 27, 2020, from 9am to 4pm.

We hope this can be an opportunity to share your research and receive feedback from other students, professors, and OSA staff in a low-stress and friendly environment. This is a great opportunity to hone your public speaking skills and/or refine your research papers in advance of presenting at larger regional, national, and international conferences.

There is no fee associated with attending or presenting in the symposium. Presentations should be ten to fifteen minutes long. We will not be accepting any papers discussing human remains and reserve the right to decline any proposed presentations.

Further details about the event, including a final schedule, will be provided following the selection of abstracts. This event is free and open to the public.

Please submit your abstract of 200 words or less using the form below by February 28, 2020.
