Sherry BoyetteArchaeology Technician

Sherry Boyette is a native of North Carolina and holds a B.A. in History with a double minor in Anthropology and Coastal Geology from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. In 2012, she participated in the University’s field school, a rice plantation at the Tom Yawkee Wildlife Preserve outside of Georgetown, South Carolina. She started volunteering with the Office of State Archaeology in 2016 working on various historical projects and public outreach.

In 2017, she joined the OSA staff as the OSARC Archaeological Technician. Sherry’s responsibilities include artifact curation and analysis, data entry of site files, artifact collection, and assisting with mapping Environmental Review projects. She also assists with volunteer orientation and collections management.
